Standards calibration — Electricity

Single-phase Radian Research brand electricity standards belonging to Measurement Canada inspectors and authorized service providers are calibrated for use in the field.

Method:

  • Measurement uncertainty and average errors provided on the calibration certificate are established on the basis of five repeated runs of a set of standardized test points.
  • Electricity standards are calibrated against a calibration console traceable to the National Research Council Canada (NRC).
  • A seal will be attached to the calibrated electricity standards so that no adjustment, alteration or repair can be made without breaking or removing the calibration seal.

Measurement conditions:

  • Temperature: 23 °C ± 2 °C
  • Pressure: ambient
  • Humidity: ambient

Calibration location: Measurement Canada, Ottawa laboratory

Fees: $30 per 1/2 hour or part thereof

Only standards used by Measurement Canada inspectors and authorized service providers are calibrated by Measurement Canada's laboratories. Standards and apparatus must be authorized and registered with Measurement Canada to qualify for this service.
