Assistive Devices Industry Office (ADIO)
ADIO provides advice to businesses that develop and market devices, services and systems which help people with disabilities live more independently. We work to promote accessibility for people with disabilities by providing advice on how to produce accessible contents for the World Wide Web; by advising on how to provide information materials in multiple formats; by participating in the work of standards-setting organizations; by fulfilling secretariat functions for the Minister's Advisory Committee on Assistive Devices; by serving on committees to ensure that the needs of people with disabilities are always considered in the policy planning process.

Electronic Commerce In Canada
This site is the virtual focal point for information on Canada's Electronic Commerce Strategy, outlining the various initiatives which are helping make Canada a world leader in the adoption and use of electronic commerce.

Emergency Telecommunications

Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) Industry
Based on its unique knowledge of the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) sector, the ICT Branch of Industry Canada influences policy and decision-makers to position Canadian companies for growth and innovation in the global marketplace. The role of the ICT Branch is to advocate, facilitate, measure and forecast, and promote the interests of the Canadian ICT sector.

ICT Investment
The Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) industry is one of the priority sectors identified by the Government of Canada for investment attraction. This site is being developed as an online information source in support of Canada's investment strategy aimed at attracting and retaining strategic global investments in ICT. The information on the site will focus on elements of the "Canadian Advantage" and include information on Canada's economic fundamentals, its relative cost advantages, the ICT infrastructure and workforce as well as investment climate issues.

The Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) Statistical Overview web-site provides the latest available data for the ICT sector. Data include key economic variables by industry, such as revenues, employment, GDP, R&D, capital expenditures and trade, along with other industry figures such as costs, salaries, value added, etc. Additional analytical reports, such as the Canadian ICT Sector Profile and Canada's ICT Trade Performance, are also available.

SME Tool Kit - Canadian E-Business Opportunities Roundtable
The Canadian E-Business Opportunities Roundtable has worked closely with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Industry Canada and many others to develop the SME E-Business Information Toolkit, an interactive product designed to provide you with the necessary resources to make sound e-business decisions for your particular business. The Toolkit aims to provide you with the key information required to make informed e-business decisions regarding return on investment (including management commitment and strategy), suppliers and security.
