Current Opportunities

Measurement Canada has offices across the country and initiates recruitment processes to fill entry-level positions at various locations.

Applications for inspector and metrologist positions at Measurement Canada must be submitted through jobs.gc.ca, where openings are posted.

Measurement Canada inspectors:

  • test and certify the accuracy of measuring devices used in trade, and
  • investigate reports of suspected inaccurate measurement.

Inspector positions are located across Canada.

Measurement Canada metrologists:

  • assess and approve prototype measuring devices, and
  • calibrate and certify field and laboratory standards.

Metrologist positions are located in Ottawa.

Please note that these positions require applicants to hold a post-secondary diploma in a relevant field, or possess an equivalent level of education, training and experience.
