Subject: COPYRIGHT REFORM PROCESS
To whom it may concern;
Having read the article about creating reforms to Canadian copyright law to create restrictions similar to those imposed by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
in the USA, as posted at http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/SSG/rp01100e.html, I must say I am wholeheartedly against such action. Laws against the circumvention of electronic protection measures serve to
restrict rights to free speech and fair use, and also prevent scientific advance. Passing such legislation in Canada would be a mistake, as it would infringe on the rights and freedoms of Canadian
citizens.
Thank you for your time,
Brad Stewart
