The Technology Roadmap (TRM) Secretariat at Industry Canada has put together this searchable inventory/compendium of federal and provincial programs which could assist Canadian companies in the implementation of TRMs. The TRM implementation is the critical phase of the process where actions take place to develop, commercialize and transfer the recommended technologies.
The objective is to make companies participating in TRMs aware of the immense possibilities available to them to fund their Roadmap. There are over 250 programs, prioritized by their relevance to technology development.
The programs in this website address financial gaps, the elaboration of research programs, commercialization assistance, and human resources development. The funding available in these programs varies, but can take the form of grants, repayable loans, cost recovery, in-kind support, tax credit, etc.
Industry Canada is constantly updating its inventory of programs, as new programs are created, so you might want to bookmark this page and visit it periodically.
You Can Choose One or More Search Options
The search options are cumulative. For example, if you select a province/territory AND an industry, your search results will include all programs specific to that province/territory and that industry.
Searching by industry
Choosing an industry area will display all programs in the database specific to the industry chosen, plus all programs that could be applied to any industry (i.e. those programs that do not have a specific industry focus).
Note: The industry option is based on the North American Industry Classification System
Relevance
All search results will present the programs in descending order, with the most relevant to your search located at the top.
Search by Program Name
If you have a good idea as to what word a program title begins with, try using the All Programs in Alphabetical Order — this is the quickest way to locate it.
