Relevance to Implementation of a TRM: Program or service that is directly targeted to the funding or support of large, new and/or strategic advanced technology initiatives
Industry: Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing and Hunting
Location: Canada
Objective(s): Agri-Opportunities provides funds to accelerate the commercialization of new agricultural products, processes or services. Funding is provided to projects that:
  • focus on new agri-food, agriculture or bioproducts,
  • can be expected to increase market opportunities for the Canadian agricultural industry across the value chain; and
  • generate demand for primary agricultural products.

  3. Environment Business Optimization
Eligibility: Eligible for profit applicants may include:
  • Canadian agri-businesses
  • corporations
  • foreign companies (that have a Canadian subsidiary)
  • producers and
  • individuals.


Eligible not-for-profit and non-profit applicants may include:
  • Aboriginal groups
  • academic institutions
  • co-operatives
  • non-governmental organizations and
  • non-profit entities.
Value: Maximum repayable contribution of $10 million per project and per recipient that is a for-profit organization.

Maximum non-repayable contribution of $10 million per project and per recipient that is a not-for-profit organization
